Can't kill server connections, sabnzbd won't download

I run sabnzbd 0.7.16 on a Qnap NAS.
Sabnzbd stopped downloading suddenly. If I get an nzb via Sickbeard it won't even download that. If I feed it the nzb manually, it displays the correct file name, but won't start downloading.
I found 5 open connections of the relevant page, I can't kill these. They are all old, not active, and I can't even find the relevant file anymore. Like a "ghost job" is blocking me from the server.
If I download from usenet via my local client it works fine, so I can connect to the usenet server from my PC.
I tried a reinstall, multiple resets, repairing the queue, basically anything that might help. I also checked the "Disconnect when queue is don/paused" option.
The connections are still there. They all say something like this:
[email protected] (these are different on every connection) | Moviemoviemovie.part040.rar (same rar on all 5 connections) | Moviemoviemovie.bluray.group
I am completely lost...
