I'm having the hardest time upgrading to 7.16. I've try sudo apt-get upgrade but I'm stuck on 7.12. I also tried downloading the package and overwriting the files but still was on 7.12. Any ideas. My system is ubuntu 11.1. I also reinstall but got 7.12 did sudo apt-upgrade still on 7.12.

Ubuntu 11.10 is not supported anymore. See http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_Ub ... f_versions

So you won't get updates anymore
