hi,

i'm using sab on raspberry pi with raspbian. i installed sab with ppa using apt-get. today i updates from 0.7.11 to 0.7.16. first i removed sab with apt-get remove sabnzbdplus, after that i installed sab from ppa with apt-get install sabnzbdplus. after reboot all the settings are still there. how can i delete all this settings, so that i have a absolutely fresh sab? maybe there are only some files i have to delete?

Stop SABnzbd, then remove the file ~/.sabnzbd/sabnzbd.ini

Sab's own settings, internal administration, queue, as well as all downloaded files are not part of the package. The default location for those settings files is inside the home dir of the user running the program, in the ".sabnzbd" subdir. Stopping the program and then removing that subdir wipes out all settings, queue, history, etc.

On a side note: the two files under /etc that make sab start on boot are part of the package, but will only be removed if you purge the package (sometimes called "complete removal" or something similar in graphical package managers). A standard uninstall leaves these in place, although it is trivial to restore the init script settings to their original state (just clear all vars in /etc/default/sabnzbdplus).
