Consistent Failing Downloads

Hi all, I went into the IRC chan with this issue a short while ago and I was told to post here also.

Basically the issue is my last three downloads have failed beyond repair with any sensible amount of rars.

I'm on Windows XP with version 0.4.6
I'm with Astraweb, and using Newzbin

inpheaux verified it isn't the report the nzb /or/ astraweb
Though he didn't use the SSL servers, and I do. I'm not sure if that makes any difference.

I'll email
[email protected] with logs in a tick

EDIT:
I noticed this in logs

Code: Select all

2009-02-12 02:52:41,015::INFO::[sabnzbd] Saving data for SABnzbd_article_8iwojd in C:\Documents and Settings\myusername\Local Settings\Application Data\sabnzbd\cache\SABnzbd_article_8iwojd

2009-02-12 02:52:41,015::ERROR::[sabnzbd] Saving C:\Documents and Settings\myusername\Local Settings\Application Data\sabnzbd\cache\SABnzbd_article_8iwojd failed
And it hit me..
Could it be because I only have 64mb of space on that drive?  :-\

I (stupidly) only allocated C: 5gb, it causes me nothing but hassle with temp files and the like, but I'm much too lazy to give it more space. So i generally abandon anything that doesnt have a way of changing temp folders.

The recipe is quite simple.
Place the sabnzbd.ini file on a drive that does have enough disk space.
Add the parameter

Code: Select all

-f d:\FULL-PATH-TO-THE-FOLDER\sabnzbd.ini
to the SABnzbd desktop or start menu icon.
This will move all working folders to the other drive as subfolders of the FULL-PATH thingy.

Still, I don't think it's a good idea to work with so little free disk space.
Even Windows Update is likely to fail with bigger updates.

Thanks so much!
I'll have to try it with a download tomorrow and hope that the issue -is- fixed, but I can't see why it wouldn't be.
I'm unfortunately have a small isp quota, and I've tried to download some of these files three times already today hehe

I love how everyone here knows what they're talking about..

EDIT:
I'm impatient, so i can confirm that solved the issue 100%
Thanks so much.
