Hi
Im very new to this and need help.
Im running Sickbeard and Sabnzbd on a Synology server and for the life of me can't figure out how to configure the temporary download and the completed folder.
the error message I keep getting is "Cannot create directory /volume1/downloads/incomplete"
Can someone please tell me what I am doing wrong and what the correct configuration should be.
Thank You

Sounds like a permissions problem.

Is sabnzbd running on on the NAS box itself or another computer attached to the network? If it is on the NAS you could try creating the directory manually and checking the permissions.

Otherwise check what path the NAS is actually mounted as on the computer that sabnzbd is actually running on.

I am having the same problem!

I have sabnzbd already running on a Synology NAS, but have recently upgraded to a larger unit, and as far as I can see I have done nothing different when installing the package.

I have created a shared folder call sabnzbd, which is on volume1 (the default name for the disk volume) - it has r/w permissions for all users, and I get the cannot create folder '/volume1/sabnzbd/incomplete' message being logged constantly.

I have created the folders incomplete and complete, but when I go to the config section on the web interface I can browse to the sabnzb shared folder, but it will not display any of the folders - so it does sound like a permissions issue, but I can't see where or why.

I did not have to do anything for my previous Synology, so is it related to the slightly newer version?

Steve

You'll have to adjust permissions outside of SABnzbd, like through a SSH shell session.
SABnzbd cannot set permissions when it doesn't have permission to write in /volume1
Isn't there some existing folder in /volume1 where you can tell SABnzbd to start?
