Firefox: "forums.sabnzbd.org uses an invalid security certificate."

Post by sander »

Hi,

Using Firefox to access the forum, I get this error message:

Code: Select all

Secure Connection Failed

forums.sabnzbd.org uses an invalid security certificate.

The certificate is not trusted because it is self signed.

(Error code: sec_error_ca_cert_invalid)

    * This could be a problem with the server's configuration, or it could be someone trying to impersonate the server.

    * If you have connected to this server successfully in the past, the error may be temporary, and you can try again later.

Or you can add an exception…

You should not add an exception if you are using an internet connection that you do not trust completely or if you are not used to seeing a warning for this server.
Is this something on my side, or on the forum's side?

I can add an exception, but I have to do that each after a fresh install ...

You're using the https version. The cert is self-signed because the https site was only requested by other devs who - obviously - trust me and my self-signed cert. If you have a problem with it, stop using https. If you trust me, accept the cert.

OK, clear. And I now see the mails I get sometime have a http-URL, and sometimes a httpS-URL. That's the reason the behaviour differs.

Thanks.
