Upgrade to alpha or install alpha

I have installed sabnzb 0.8 Alpha 3 one time on a previous linux but do not remember how I did it. Presently I have extracted the sabnzb alpha folder into /opt and can run the program but running the Sabnzbd.py file. I have been looking for a way to auto start this file sense I was unable to figure out how to install sabnzbd alpha as a program. Can someone help me install Sabnzb alpha or let me know how to autostart the py file. BTW I did get sabnzb 0.7 installed if that helps or if there is a way to upgrade that to 0.8 alpha 3.

Edit: I had created a .desktop file in .kde/Autostart as such
[Desktop Entry]
Type=Application
Name=Sabnzbplus
Exec=python /opt/SABnzbd-0.8.0Alpha3/Sabnzbd.py

I had double clicked it "yes it was set to run as executable" but the only thing that happened was a listing appearing in the panel but no window and the listing closed after some seconds.

The I was looking in the right click properties of the desktop file I created and next to command in the Application section I clicked browse and went to where the Sabnzb.py file was and selected it then saved and tried executing the .desktop file again and it worked. Did a restart and yes it auto started SABnzb. I must of had a typo or something. I did reopen the .desktop file in kate and it does have a lot of extra information that I did not enter.

This is what was show in kate after the change.
