Hi guys.. hope you can help.

When i'm downloading in SABNzbd via Astraweb, i'm only getting 1.4 - 1.7 mbps at the most. any help on what can be going on?

it's a dedicated Ubuntu machine - no dual boot. internet is hardwired.

I can open another tab of FIrefox and go to speedtest.net and get >100Mbps with no problem.

help?

Set an article cache in Config->General (300M if you have enough memory).
Optimize the number of connections (probably 10 or 12).

awesome.. that did the trick.

I first set the article to 300m and that jumped my d/l speed from <=1mbps to about 4mbps.

I upped my connections from 2 (!) to 12 and now getting around 10mpbs.

thanks a ton!

8-14 is usually optimal.
2 is way too low.
Anything above 20 is counterproductive.
The problem is, each provider has its own optimum.
