Should I download 0.4.9?

Post by cjedj »

"This release will break compatibility with existing third-party tools"

Does that mean http://mytvnzb.foechoer.be/ will no longer work?

I'm sure most of you will think this is a dumb question, and I'm sorry about that, but I don't know anything about API's or scripts, I just set it and forget it.

RSS feeds like that will still work fine.

It is third party stuff like nzbdstatus, or anything listed here: http://forums.sabnzbd.org/index.php?topic=38.0 that will likely not work until updated. Not everything on that list will be broken, only things that interface directly with sabnzbd through use of the API or web interface commands.

The update for nzbdstatus is currently waiting to be approved by the firefox addon staff, however it can still be downloaded from here (1.0.7):
https://addons.mozilla.org/en-US/firefo ... sions/7617

However you will need to make an account and log in.

when a new release of sabnzbd+ is ready to download, most 3rd party apps will already be updated because most 3rd party creators are beta testers

My favourite third party app has a programmer that's missing in action for more than a year so it's doubtful he'll be upgrading. So, my question is... how far back to I have to downgrade before the security issue won't be a factor?

Does sabnzbX work with this release?

I downloaded it, and it seems broken on my computer.  I was wondering if it was just me.  If it is indeed broken, will there be a new sabnzbdX release soon?

Thanks!

SABnzbdX 1.2.2 is released, and compatible with all SABnzbd versions (with or without API key).
If you don't have par2 issues, you should wait for 0.4.10 to upgrade SABnzbd.
