Replace pop-up HTTP login dialog

Hi,
Would it be possible to replace the pop-up login dialog with a proper login form on the HTML page.
With the pop-up dialog, it blocks access to the browser underneath, which means that it is difficult to utilise a password manager such as LastPass - meaning I either need to open LastPass separately, and copy/paste my complex password, or if I forget to do it (because it's decided to time out my existing session), I need to cancel the login dialog, open LastPass, then navigate to the sab address again. This is especially frustrating when on my mobile or tablet.
I love the new fluid 'glitter' layout, which makes checking sab from mobile/tablet a much nicer experience.
All that I would like now is a form-based login, so I can make full use of the auto-complete features of my password manager.
Thanks!
