Can the ubuntu package in the ppa repository be updated with systemd unit instead of the sysvinit scripts for running ubuntu as a service.

Adding a systemd unit is simple enough, its initial setup for newbie users and a smooth transition from the current service/config not so much. That makes adding native systemd support alot of work and risk for little gain, putting it somewhere way down on my todo list. Don't hold your breath.
