SABnzbd Version: 1.1.1 crashed

Hi,

i have a big Problem. After normal update from 1.1.0 to 1.1.1 i can't start anymore. After start the service on my Linux system it seams to be ok. But after approximately 5 sec it will shutting down.
In the logs i see this:

I try to delete sabnzbd.ini, but is will create it with the old information. I can't not even clean to fresh reboot.

What can i do? Next try is to delete complete and reinstall. but i will prefer if i have an option to repair it ;)

I think something is going wrong when Sab tries to bind to you IPv6 address.
Did you enable that on purpose? You can disable it by (after sabnzbd is shutdown) edit sabnzbd.ini and setipv6_hosting to 0.

Does that help?

What happens if you backup sabnzbd.ini and then remove it and the backup file (.bak). Then it should start with fresh settings.. Will that at least start?

when i rename the ini and start again, it will make an ini that looks exact like my old one

EDIT:

i have clean all what is inside of the ini. on next start it will create new input. so clean start. But it won't start.

i have tried the update on my local host. that works perfect. So i don't know what happend.

Can you change your host to be localhost only?
In sabnzbd.ini find host=0.0.0.0 and replace it by host=localhost

If i change the 0.0.0.0 to localhost on next start is 0.0.0.0 in the ini again. Not starting

i changed the 0.0.0.0 to localhost and make the ini readonly. but the same effect. it will not start.

It's because the PPA always starts it with 0.0.0.0
Try shutting down Sab, edit sabnzbd.ini to localhost and start using:
python /usr/share/sabnzbdplus/SABnzbd.py

i am not able to start like you wrote.
/usr/share/sabnzbdplus/SABnzbd.py don't exist.

some more informations:
I downloaded the Paket from the Homepage and set it up on my system.

First i start with "localhost" in the ini. That works. Logs at the end.

Than i changed to 0.0.0.0 an it crashed. Logs down:

That's very very odd, how does 127.0.1.1 end up there? It should be 127.0.0.1.
Something seems wrong with the localhost definition of your system.
Maybe sander or JCFP know?

Could you try:
In the 1.1.1 code, open SABnzbd.py and make the code around line 1395 to say:

It should now print 2 extra lines to your console when starting.

you are right, i have an "change in my hosts file.

But i wounder why this only happend when i try with 0.0.0.0 and not on localhost. On localhost running everything is fine.


The log say something about port in use. I restarted and shutdown and restartet. Than it looks better. But the logs seems to be no divference anymore. but server wount start. LOG:

Because on localhost we stay only on the local machine, while with 0.0.0.0 we need to bind to the outside ports.
For some reason, we can't in case of 127.0.1.1.
Why is 127.0.1.1 there anyway? Do you need it?

yes, on some reason the mongodatabase need that port for "localhost" for backloop.
But why it works bevor? on 1.1.0 is no Problem
