The folder was emptied by SabNZB (default behaviour I selected). For debugging the problem, this is not a good idea.

It's also possible that nothing was downloaded.
Yes, even that takes time (some Usenet servers take a lot time to realize that they don't have an article).
What does the logging say? Were any files downloaded and/or removed?
