If I use the slider to reduce speed or try to add a schedule it has no effect and it constantly runs at 100%.

Even if I go to General/Tuning and set linespeed at 10MB/s or lower (I get around 20MB/s) or Percentage of line speed to be less than 100 it still runs at full speed, which nukes everything else in my home which isn't making me popular......

Help please!!!

What did you fill for line speed on the Config > General page?
What is the speed you get from your provider? 20MBit/s or 20MB/s?

Ok feeling silly now as I used to work for an ISP and I always find it funny how people confuse MB/s and Mb/s....

Sorted. I had it right before I started trying to apply schedules and got in a middle.
