Performance of sabnzbd using a NAS

I am thinking of getting a NAS to use as file server and usenet downloading with sabnzbd. I am looking at the Qnap TS-431P2 which has a Quad Core 1.7 ARM CPU and 4 GB RAM. Does someone have experience with usenet downloading when using this NAS? Is there a site were they test different NAS with sabnzbd? I have a 100 Mbit connection and with my old Core2Duo 2.3Ghz that I currently use can manage around 11 MB/s with 30 % CPU utilization, but I have read many forum post with people experiencing slow downloads using a NAS.

That is a good question. Certainly before you buy your NAS.

I have a quad ARM device, and SAB achieves 11 MB/s (so about 100 Mbps) on it. So I expect you're good with the NAS.

One important note: that is the modern SABnzbd with the binary SAByenc module available and working. You need to check if that is available for your QNAP

This is my first NAS som I'm new to this. How do I know if the modern SABnzbd with the binary SAByenc module will work on my NAS? I'm planning on following this installation guide:
