Shutdown after finished not working anymore Firefox

This week suddenly "shutdown after download" cannot be selected anymore in Firefox. IE works fine. What did Firefox disable?
When I select it, it shows for 0.5 sec and then jumps back to previous selection.

Did you maybe enable a new plugin or adblocker?

No, I didn't change anything. Am I the only one with this problem?

Hmm so far haven't heard anyone with this problem yet.. We haven't updated that part of the code in years. But a browser update could mess it up.

Somehow the problem solved itself. This morning it worked again. Don't know why, several reboots were done
