I upgraded to version 3.0.0 and couldn't access the web interface (macOS 10.14.6). After some work comparing default settings, I tracked the issue down to having html_login set to OFF. The use of HTTPS with username/password is probably necessary to reproduce.

Yes, there was a bug indeed. I fixed it for 3.0.1.
