I have done now mate... But I haven't got a clue what any of the answers given mean. It all just seemed to work nicely when I was on the previous version of 2.1.0

Oh well guess an upgrade to Windows 10 is long overdue

You can use the Legacy download (32bit) on the Downloads page. It will work on Windows 7.

Thanks for that safihre but when I download and run that one I get another different script error !!!
Don't suppose we have links to any older versions of the exe that might run on windows 7 ????

What error do you get with that one?
It should work on Windows 7, it was made for that.

Can you post the whole error? It should show multiple lines.
Or maybe you can run SABnzbd-console to see the whole error.

I gave that a go...

However......

Error 0x80070666: Cannot install a product when a newer version is installed.

Do you want me to downgrade the installation?

Just to double check, you are using the 32bit legacy Standalone version of Sabnzbd?

Can you check if you have this one?
https://support.microsoft.com/en-us/top ... 7930f3560c

Again, we don't officially support Windows 7 so no official documentation.

Yes, I am running the SABnzbd-3.4.2-win32-bin and the update you referred to is already installed.

Really a shame if this doesn't work, since I really cant upgrade the OS.

Thanks for trying though :-) Any other suggestions?

Yes:
* run SABnzbd from source: https://sabnzbd.org/wiki/installation/i ... ce-windows ... but only try that if you understand that. If that works ... while you'r there, create a binary yourselft ... :)
* run older SABnzbd
