I have been running SAB for some time (novice user) without any problems. Now, for some reason, SAB does not show up in my Windows 10 program list, it no longer shows its icon in the system tray when running, and it Fails the test of Notifications settings. The program does seem to be running, however. What should I do?

Restart your system and reinstall sabnzbd using the installer from the Downloads page.

Thanks for your reply, safihre. Your suggestion seems to have straightened things out, although SAB still does not show in the Windows program list in the startup window. That isn't important to me as long as everything else is working smoothly. Thanks for your help.

@weybrew+: What exactly do you mean with "not in Windows program list"?
Your "Task-Manager" (started with CTRL+SHIFT+ESC)?
Or the list of programs when you press the Win-Key on your keyboard?
Or the list of programs in the Autostart-Tab of your "Task-manager"?

Thanks for your comment, iUseNetter. SAB does not appear when WIN-Key is pressed nor when I use the START button. They do show in the SETTINGS > APPS list and in the list of programs when I'm using REVO uninstaller. But it does seem to be working again after my uninstall/reinstall.

I assume, you followed the steps in the WIKI, including
"To use the installer, you need to be an administrator. The alternative is to unzip our Windows ZIP-distribution file to a location where you have write access."
Otherwise you can easily add such an entry by drag & drop your to your startmenu and create a shortcut for it. Just press CTRL+SHIFT during the drag & drop to .
