New install of Sabnzbd from Arch AUR unable to change folders to home directory.

As above I just installed Sabnzbd I typically set my watch folder to my home downloads directory however when I go to change the folder it will not let me browse inside the home directory.
I'm guessing this is some kind of a permissions issue.
I'm kind of stuck if anyone can help I'd appreciate it.
