Using RSS To Support iOS Process

Post by digitalvibe »

Hi,

My goal is to be able to use my iPhone to locate an NZB via NZBGeek, have it downloaded within a Dropbox folder so I can then watch the resulting video file.

I had thought the easiest way of achieving the main part of this would be to generate a Cart RSS link via NZBGeek then add that to my Feed URLs within SabNZB. I can then add any nzb to my NZBGeek "cart", which is then added to the RSS feed and Sab can then download however, while this sort of works, I can't find a way to have the download trigger be instant. If I setup the RSS Checking Interval the best I can do is to have it check every 15mins. I also tried using the Scheduling option and set that to be every 3 seconds but that didn't make any difference, i.e. there was still a significant delay to the download process, i.e. way more than 3 secs.

Any ideas on how I can better tackle this? Thanks

set that to be every 3 seconds
The NZBgeek site might block you for that. There is a reason the minimum is 15 minutes.

But ... you can trigger it manually in the SAB webgui: hamburger icon in upper right corner -> Read All Feeds Now.

SAB will then read the RSS feeds within 5 or 10 seconds.

Thanks for the tip re. potential blocking from NZBGeek. Just wish there was a setup that didn’t involve so many manual steps to make this work

Sorry, I'm sure I'm being thick but how would I access the SAB webgui from my phone? Using the same IP I use via my desktop doesn't work.

Is your phone connected to your LAN / WLAN?

(Or is your phone connected via 4G/5G?)

Did you check SAB -> config -> general -> SABnzbd Host? It must be 0.0.0.0 to make it accessible from your LAN.

It wasn't set to that no (was just localhost) but have updated to 0.0.0.0 and restarted SAB. Despite this, still can't access via my phone

I've never used my phone to access SAB before so was using the same URL as via my desktop. Is this not correct?

Ah. It's something like http://192.168.1.4:8080/

You can find the IP address of your PC via SAB -> Wrench (upper right) cornert -> Local IPv4 address
