A few questions for Manjaro Linux SABnzbd

Post by lordlance »

I installed sabnzbd 3.7.2-1 via AUR on Manjaro Linux 22.0.5.

New to Linux so I had a few questions:
1. I can't seem to set the directory for completed downloads to my Desktop folder - I can read but not write my Desktop folder. I see that the sabnzbd folder is currently owned (group and user) by sabnzbd.
2. I want to automatically remove the nzb file once it has been scanned by the application but that does not seem to be the case unlike Windows. How do I fix this?
3. To start the application, I had to run

Code: Select all

systemctl start sabnzbd
. It wasn't listed on my Manjaro Start Menu anywhere. How do I add it there? Also is there no file that I can open to start sab like exe files on Windows?

AFAIK Manjaro is not an easy Linux distro.

So as you're new to Linux, easier to use Ubuntu: easies to use, and you won't have problems with 1 and 3. No answer for 2.
