My queue is currently huge (15'000 entries) and I had to delete several hundreds of them.
I multi-selected the entries and pressed the recycle-bin icon in the lower right corner.

During the refresh of the remaining list of entries (still to be deleted), I got this crazy high ETA numbers:

The numbers seems to be recalculated with every page refresh.

This is the "expected" normal ETA after the delete process has finished:

What is your actual download speed?

Because if it is low due to missing articles, you get a high ETA

Currently about 12 MB/s (more or less) displayed in the upper right corner.
SABnzbd is running on a not too fast Synology NAS .-)

I think indeed that during the deleting, the download process was locked resulting in very slow download speeds.
The locking is there to prevent race-conditions, but safety comes at a performance price.

@safihre: That sounds reasonable.
Maybe this should be changed to "not a bug, just an edge case".
