API key missing, please enter the API key from Config->General into your 3rd party program: 127.0.0.1 [Mozilla/5.0 (Windows NT 10.0; Win64; x64) AppleWebKit/537.36 (KHTML, like Gecko) Chrome/114.0.0.0 Safari/537.36]

what's going on here? ver 4.02

two possibilities:

There is a hacker on your machine, using his/her Chrome to access your SAB interface
Or just restart you Chrome. If that does not help: reboot your system, and you're fine.

my external access set to . no.
still getting that error, 20 times and then it stops. if i delete, get another 20 error messages.

You rebooted your Windows, or just Sab?

Oh, really?! And you opened Chrome with just one tab (not with all previous tabs open again)?

It's your webbrowser, or a webbrowser plugin, or a tool masqerading as Chrome, on your local PC, trying to access SABnzbd, with a wrong API key. Does that ring a bell.

The wrong API key can happen if your webbrowser has multiple tabs open, and you restart SAB in the background.

If you rebooted you PC (and thus also your webbrowser), and you still get that error ... it's weird.

I did have sabnzbconnect++ installed for quite some time with no issues and now suddenly today, this issue cropped up. I uninstalled the plugin, cleared cache, rebooted pc. problem still there. oh, also uninstalled chrome just in case and used edge . no change.

Very weird.

More hefty stuff:

Put SABnzbd on a different port than 8080. For example 8090. Via http://127.0.0.1:8080/config/general/ . Then Save. Then reboot. Then start SAB and go to ... http://127.0.0.1:8090/

OK, good. Now remember: SAB is now on port 8090. That works as long as you know it, or if you let SAB start the webbrowser automatically.
