Low Internet Bandwidth and Download Speed - please help

Hi all

I've recently noticed that my downloads on sabnzbd are running extremely slow. The headless server sits in the garage, so I usually do not closely monitor it (and the downloads). But the other day I picked up that my downloads were running at less than 3 MB/s - which is weird because it used to be around 20 MB/s.

The server is running Ubuntu 22.04 and sabznzbd version 4.1.0.

My line is a 200 Mbps line and Speedtest from the server shows 193 Mbps.

Here is what I get on the Status page:

System performance (Pystone) - 435548 12th Gen Intel(R) Core(TM) i5-12500T AVX2
Download folder speed - 102 MB/s
Complete folder speed - 102.7 MB/s
Internet Bandwidth - 2.3 MB/s 18.4 Mbps

A 100 MB test download runs at less than 2 MB/s.

Other than doing the normal Ubuntu updates, I have not made any changes to the system.

Does anyone have any ideas?

Unfortunately I can't explain. I have no idea why I get full speed through the browser while sabnzbd is only crawling...

I'm not a linux expert, which is why I'm looking for help here.

I thought it might be a firewall issue, but when I run sudo iptables -L -n I get this:
Chain INPUT (policy ACCEPT)

Chain FORWARD (policy ACCEPT)

Chain OUTPUT (policy ACCEPT)
target prot opt source destination

Here the output to grep port ~/.sabnzbd/sabnzbd.ini:
fixed_ports = 1
port = 8085
https_port = ""
port = 563
port = 563

Any ideas?

Really weird

I just ran another test download and this time got full line speed.

A trial download from one of my news servers also ran at full line speed.

So for some reason everything works again

But on the Status page, my Internet Bandwidth still shows as 2.3 MB/s
