I'm running a small 24x7 server (power consumption/storage) and after downloading I move the files to my NAS.
This results in some unneccessary downloads of files already downloaded.

Does sabnzbd store successfull downloads including the name of the file in a DB? If so would it be possible to integrate another option to avoid downloads of files saved as successfully downloaded in the DB?
Maybe an option for a future release?

It's called Duplicate Detection... See Config > Switches and the wiki page that's linked from there.

Both options identical and smart detection ar enabled but nearly identical episodes of tv shows are downloaded multiple times.
Are there any advanced options for smart detection?

What are the filenames of these duplicate episodes?

What do you have the Duplicate detection set to? Discard?
Are you sure you aren't adding the jobs as Forced priority?

Here my settings:

Identical download detection: Discard
Smart duplicate detection: Discard
