So google pulled connect++ from the store a week ago and it stopped working in Chrome as a result.
Up until that point my categories and renaming working beautifully where my DL's would automatically move from the completed folder to my TV or Movie folders along with the renaming etc but now everything is borked & no longer works, instead everything ends up in the completed folder & I now have to manually move it to TV or Movies in order for PLEX to see it.
I tried Sonarr and redoing the auto sorting and categories but nope, it doesn't work so definitely losing connect++ did some damage.
Anyone have any suggestions?
Should I uninstall and redo everything (FML I hate the though of that especially when it has worked flawlessly for 6 years).
F you, Google.
Cheers

Re: SABconnect++ Ruined My Automated Categorization
Well I was adding DL's via connect++ but since that has been nuked I have to DL the nzb and upload it to SAB.
Here's a screen shot of category settings, TV & MOVIES directed towards the respective folders under L:\downloads\TV & L:\downloads\MOVIES
That is how I've always had it and it worked fine till 5 days ago.

Re: SABconnect++ Ruined My Automated Categorization
SABconnect++ still works in Chrome, you just have to turn it back on.
Re: SABconnect++ Ruined My Automated Categorization
Oh?
Mmmm Chrome wouldn't allow me to enable it.
I still have it in Edge and it's enabled but no longer works to send files to SAB

Re: SABconnect++ Ruined My Automated Categorization
And when you add them manually, how do you add them? Drag and drop or double click the NZB file?

Re: SABconnect++ Ruined My Automated Categorization
I use the +Add NZB feature within SAB if uploading from my laptop but if on my desktop, where my server resides, I use a watched folder.
Re: SABconnect++ Ruined My Automated Categorization
Then the nzbs don't contain any category information.
You can check that by opening the NZB with a text editor and see if it contains any Category tags at the top.
If they are there, Sab can use them to identify the correct category if configured correctly.

Re: SABconnect++ Ruined My Automated Categorization
Well I am downloading the very same viewable content with the same tags they've always had, nothing has changed with those files unless Newsbin has changed something?
I do not see anything category related in the files via text editor but those are coded, no?

Re: SABconnect++ Ruined My Automated Categorization
I noticed almost all the files, regardless of them being a film or TV, are labelled with alt.binaries.misc and if I add that into SAB's indexer categories it puts it into a folder however it ends up putting both movies & TV into the TV folder.
Previously I never added indexer categories and it just always worked with placing the items into their correct respective folders so no clue why it no longer works.
As I said, it all started as soon as connect++ was removed.
