As the subject (possibly the longest subject ever, btw!) says: I am currently re-downloading 70 rar files (100MB each!) whom I had already downloaded using a torrent client.
Is it somehow possible to merge the old files with the new ones I am now getting on usenet, in order to reduce queued data amount?

This would require resume capabilities, which we don't presently have, and are hesitant to add. See recent discussion over here.
