SABnzbd Forums

Not sure what i am doing wrong i installed sabnzb on mac and when i goto applications and click to start the program nothing happens no program pops up...I am runnning latest snow lwopard.

Can someone let me know what the problem may be?

now i got it running and was trying to put in an ip for it under general and it said i needed to restart...Now i get the error when i try to start that it wont cause something else is running on that port....no matter what i change it too it wont start anymore. I have rebooted and even reinstalled

Have you checked if SABnzbd isn't still running?
Did it add an extra icon to the top menu bar?

yes i have.....in fact i did a killall to make sure that it was not.....When i run it the arrow does show up but when i hover over it it wont work at all so then i did the killall to make sure it was not running. I even went as far a to uninstall it and reinstall and nothing....same problem


any ideas.....?

SABnzbd needs a free tcp/ip port for its internal web server.
Port 8080 on myip was tried , but it is not available.


I really want to get this to work agian....It was sooo cool

Do you have any firewall like software. Little Snitch?
Which host name do you use?
Check in: /home/user/Library/Application Support/SABnzbd/sabnzbd.ini

You might want to use 127.0.0.1 as host and 8080 as port.
Then set the browser to http://127.0.0.1:8080/sabnzbd

actually i just foxed it....looks like a binch had this problem....I went to the ini file and took out the ip i had in there and put in 0.0.0.0 and saved it restarted and all is good
