Connecting to nzbs(dot)org but not downloading files

Post by timcdn »

Hi guys,

I have checked, it is in the correct format.

Sab does connect to "my searches" and "my nzb" and when I click "Preview" it shows the list of nzbs to be downloaded.

But the issue is this.  As soon as they are added to queue they sit in the "Trying to fetch" mode.

If I cut and paste the URL of the file into a new browser window  (which appears after "Trying to fetch") it connects and downloads the nzb.

Sab is just not able to trigger the download for some reason.

Ideas?

Thanks

Have you read Note 3 on this page: http://wiki.sabnzbd.org/nzb-sources

SABnzbd can only use an RSS source when
a) it contains actual links to NZB download locations (not all sites have that)
b) SABnzbd can find where the links are hidden in the feed (total lack of standardization makes this difficult).

The above mentioned page lists sites we do support.
For any other site, it's your own risk.

No, I can't connect to tvnzb either - but I had thought it was a problem with the tvnzb site.  Those files also sit in the queue "Trying to fetch".

How did you add the API to the feed?

This is the feed I have entered, it seems to work as it shows the list of nzbs when you click preview:

http://www.nzbs.org/rss.php?action=myse ... HASH)&dl=1

And the link under the "Trying to fetch" works if I navigate to it using a browser.

nzbs(dot)org is in the list and I have double checked the URL to make sure it conforms to note 3.  It connects, lists the nzbs in preview just doesn't download the nzb file.

You are right, I had remove it with the hash, but it is properly stated in sab.

I'll have a look at again tonight.
My own nzbs.org feed runs fine BTW.

Update:  I have checked the URLs for the TVNZB and they are also correct, Sab just isn't dowloading the NZB file.

FYI I am running 0.5.1rc2

I noticed that for every "Trying to fetch" URL the age is 14708d.  Could this have something to do with sab not downloading the nzb?

No, that's just a display anomaly because the age is not known yet.

Is there any debug log that will help locate the problem?

Yes, on the Connections page of the UI.
Set to debug for maximum info.
