NZBMatrix Categories

Post by staby »

I know this has been beaten to death by now, but I can't get this working for the life of me.  I've searched both the wiki and the forums and have it set up exactly as I believe it should be.

In sabnzbd, under Categories, I've tried putting in under the Groups heading:

6
tv.*
tv.divx/xvid
6, tv.divx/xvid

Whenever I download the NZB to my desktop and have sabnzbd autoscan to start the downloading, the download finishes, yet the file remains in my main download folder, it doesn't sort to the TV folder as it should.

Here is a screenshot.  I know the category name doesn't need to look like that, but I was just testing to make sure it wasn't pulling from there.

Thanks for your help!

EDIT:  I should mention, there is not an nzbmatrix.txt file anywhere in my sabnzbd installation directory.  Could this be the problem?  I upgraded from 0.5.2 to 0.5.3.

Re: NZBMatrix Categories

I just figured out something else.

When I copy the link from NZBMatrix and click Toggle Add NZB, it sorts it into the proper folder perfectly.

However, if I click the download link from NZBMatrix and open it with sabnzbd (Firefox is my browser), it doesn't sort into the folder correctly.

I'm so confused as to why it's working one way, but not the other.

How can I use a one click download method (without resorting to a third party plugin) while still maintaining the categories?

Thanks again.

SABnzbd knows how to get the category from nzbmatrix, Firefox doesn't.

To follow up from this, under groups, is the group categorie number used ie '6' or the description 'tv.divx/xvid' for NZBMatrix?

Only the text version is used.
Unfortunately the NZB API of nzbmatrix returns the number, SABnzbd translates it to the text.
The RSS feed of nzbmatrix only contains the text version.
Therefore we chose to let you use only use the text version.
Besides, numbers aren't very user-friendly.

Thanks shypike,
The reason I asked was because I wasn't too sure how SABnzbd would hand the txt arguments that contained comma's ie "49, other.audio, books" and as I'm away from my machine at present, can't test the different permutations.

The list is just the internal notation used by SABnzbd.
The actual text is "other.audio, books".
That's the literal text as used by matrix.

That was my suspicion.

Do you know of any simple solution to a one click method?  I know you've gone above and beyond trying to support the categories from nzbmatrix when they haven't really done anything yet.  Feel free to just tell me "no."

I wonder what other people use for downloading their NZBs.  Copying the link and pasting it into sab isn't the best method, but if that's what needs to be done, that's what needs to be done.

Thanks for your reply.

You can bookmark items in nzbmatrix and setup their special bookmark RSS feed in SABnzbd.
