Home Server - Having trouble opening nzb files

Post by Mrkennedy »

Hi guys,

Have installed sabnzbd into my MediaSmartServer running Windows Home Server and also added the Sabnzbd add-in too, but also following the wiki guide.

But when i tell sabnzb to watch a folder for nzb files nothing happens. I then tried going straight to the file but it keeps giving me this error.

any ideas what might be causing this?

You should use a \\server\share path for the Watched folder.
Please just type the error message, without a screenshot.

On the same note of this.

My 'Watched Folder' is on my Windows 7 machine and SabNZBd is on my Linux HTPC (Revo).
How can I get the Linux machine to watch my share across a network that is passworded?

Watched folder = \\DEJAVU-PC\NZB Downloads
IE -

DejaVu:password@\\DEJAVU-PC\NZB Downloads

Is this correct? Because it doenst seem to work. Just to add, the Everyone group is enabled with all permissions. But my Windows 7 PC does require a password to logon.

You need to "mount" the network path on the file system.
SABnzbd cannot handle URL's for file access.
