i've had a LOT of problems with the rss in 0.3x and still can't get it to work but the new rss system in 0.40b2 is better as i can add the rss url but i can't add anything to the filter as if i do i get the below error:
Code: Select all
500 Internal error
The server encountered an unexpected condition which prevented it from fulfilling the request.

Break it again (by getting the 500 error), close down SABnzbd and send your sabnzbd.log and cherrypy.log over to us at

Sorry, I need your full sabnzbd.ini file too.
Just remove any account data.
cache/rss_data.sab would be useful too.
So far I have found nothing that breaks my Linux or Windows boxes.
You are sure that the *.tmpl files in the interfaces/Default folder belong to SABnzbd-0.4.0Beta2 ?

i'll delete my install and install a fresh SABnzbd-0.4.0Beta2 then try again and if i get the same error i'll resend the logs along with the 2 other files you asked for

On my systems I have not been able to reproduce the problem,
not even with your files.
Which version of Cheetah are you using?
Is it 2.0.1 or an older release?

Hi,
Since I have almost the same problem as steve51184 I checked my cheetah and I run version 1.0.

Yep!!
It is working now.
Just installed Cheetah 2.01 and all problems disappeared.
I bet steve51184 is running a older cheetah also.
Thanx Shypike!!

Good that it's working now.
I'm surprised you got SABnzbd working at all with 1.0.
Cheetah 2.0rc7 or higher should work fine.
I should include a check on the Cheetah version as well.

I think that is good idea, to implement checks for the minimal required versions of the installed software.

That is what I use to test.
What do you get when you click Query?
Are there any warnings or errors visible in the Connection screen afterwards?
