Noob: Request simple script (WIN), .wmv to .mkv

Hi,
Sorry to bash into the forum like this but i have been going through this forum 2 times, but i cannot find what i need. And my programming skills are not the best.
I just need to run the following command on a downloaded .wmv file:
C:\PROGRA~2\WMVCON~1\wmvconverter.exe "$u\*.wmv"
The wmvconverter will convert the wmv file to a mkv file and place it in the same directory.
Optional could be the deletion of the wmv, but not required.
