How to get back to 0.5.6 on Ubuntu?

Post by Tiny Clanger »

I'm giving up on 0.6 for now. Even with a new queue and a new .ini file, it still claims everything is out of my server's retention, despite that being set to 700 days and trying an NZB that's only a few days old.

Trouble is: how do I get back to 0.5.6 on Ubuntu? Even after installing the PPA as per the wiki (including apt-get update!) aptitude install sabnzbdplus=0.5.6 says that it can't find that version.

Code: Select all

# apt-cache policy sabnzbdplus
sabnzbdplus:
  Installed: (none)
  Candidate: 0.6.0~beta2-0ubuntu1~jcfp2~karmic
  Version table:
     0.6.0~beta2-0ubuntu1~jcfp2~karmic 0
        500 http://ppa.launchpad.net karmic/main Packages
     0.4.12-1 0
        500 http://archive.ubuntu.com karmic/multiverse Packages
So how do I get back to 0.5.6 without doing a manual install and losing the ability to upgrade via apt in the future?

Thanks

PS: is the post preview only showing one line for anyone else? It seems to have been set to height:20px for some reason  ???

Are you sure you're not doing anything wrong?
Did you test your servers?
0.6.0 is working rock solid on my Fedora for months now.
Cheers

Does the History entry tell you how many articles are missing?
If so (and it's a large number), the post is simply not on the server.
If not and you still get the "retention" message, then something in SABnzbd is wrong.
Let me work with you to get this sorted out, so the next Beta will be better.

BTW: I'm not familiar with APT issues. Ask that question in the Ubuntu support board on this forum.

Thanks. I manually installed 0.5.6 in a separate folder, and it's downloaded the offending NZB just fine (it was the latest Top Gear, so it was only broadcast on Sunday — definitely fits in a 700+ day retention period ;D)

Other small NZBs that were only a few days old did the same thing.

I've kept a copy of the .sabnzb folder around, but would have to re-download and install the beta separately in order to test. Currently I'm most of the way through recategorising the NZBs I've re-added to 0.5.6, so I don't really want to destroy that!
