Forgotten watchlist

Post by Harddeschijf »

HI everybodey,
My situation: I working in Ubuntu 10.10 64 bit with Sabnzbd 0.6.0.B3.
Ubuntu is installed on a SSD, therefore I want to download on my internal hdd.

I have made a path for incomplete, complete and for saving my NZB's to /media/

I have mounted this internal HDD automaticly (and checked this).

But everytime I startup Sabnzbd my Queue is gone, and Sabnzbd can find the right path>
(error message: can't create /media/Data/downloads/incomplete and /media/Date/downloads/reserve)

So the /media/Data/downloads/complete is still found.

Is there someone who does know what is going wrong?
I think it is a small thing, but I can't find it.

Thanks,

Hardeschijf

I have tried to change the "ini"file, but sabnzbd comes back with the old information, even if I have saved this.

Do you start SABnzbd automatically at system start up?
Be aware that the /media/Date drive must be mounted before SABnzbd starts up.
Only the "complete" folder can be created when post-processing started.

Hi Shypike,

Yes, I have mounted the disk in /etc/fstab with the "auto" command.

When I look at the desktop the "Data" shortcut is there as a sign the the disk is mounted

I will try to delete Sabnzbd and reinstall.

Thanks

The question is about the order of startup.
Is SABnzbd started before the auto-mounter does its work?

Hi Spypike,

No, I start Sabnzbd manually.

This evening, after de installing everything from  sabnzbd, and installing again I was successful in creating the path.
But.... Sabnzbd gives me the free space from the SSD, and all path are aiming to the HDD with has over 200 GB of free space.

And now i can't create a map on the SSD (to check for new NZBś).

Kind of weird to me.

Hope you can help me.

Thanks,

H.

It shows the free space of the drive where the "temporary download folder" is.
You can force all folders on the other drive by using the -f parameter.
./SABnzbd.py -f /full/path/to/folder
Then sabnzbd.ini file and all folders will be made in /full/path/to/folder

Hi Spypike,
Thanks again, but i can't find the Sabnzbd.py file.
When I type this in the Terminal, I says: file doesn't exist.

Should this file in the /Home/.Sabnzbd dir?

Kind regards,

H.

Hi Shispyke,

I have deleted SABnzb completely via Synaptic.
Then I have searched for files with SABnzb in the name and deleted this also.
Then I have installed again Sabnzb 0.6.03. (I still saw my download quantity's so there must be some file left).
Creating the files give me this message "Cannot create download_dir folder /media/Data/downloads/.incomplete"
Notting has been created.
I really don't know what to do.
Do you have a solution left?

Thanks,

H.

You are sure that the harddisk is mounted before SABnzbd starts?
Did you try to create the requested folder manually.
Do access rights match the account SABnzbd runs under?
Do you start SABnzbd manually or have you tried that?

Sorry for my late answer but i was a few days away.
I am short that during start-up the Data disk is mounted, there is also a shortcut on my desktop.
I always start-up Sabnzbd manually, so there is no script or what so to do this automatic.

With my first post, I have checked the rights of my profile, they seems to be ok all 777.

I have also created the maps manually but the result is still downloading to the SSD (/Home/name) even while the path is media/Data/downloads/...

I have installed sabnzbd several times in the past, but never had this experience.

Hope you have an idea.

BTW... where can I find the ./SABnzbd.py file?

Thanks for your help.

You start up manually, so you must know where SABnzbd.py is.
Otherwise check the script that you use to start it.
Check SABnzbd's log file for info.

Hi shypike,

Thanks for your answer, but no I don know where to find SABnzb.py.
I install Sabnzbd via Synaptic, so Sabnzbd is a choise on the menu.
When I surch for this on my SSD, no hits.

But when i uninstall Sabnzbd(including the config files), and I reinstall Sabnzbd, it still knows my history, so uninstaller doesn’t delete everything.

Thanks for you help anyway, I think I reinstall ubuntu.
