This is an english language forum.

From what I can make of your post, try the numerical IP of your Usenet provider 81.171.88.231
instead of the name.
You did not accidentally enable SSL?

Why 4 servers?
Are they all eweka? If not, do the other servers work?

You did try with another program, like Grabit?
What OS do you use?
Do you use a software firewall (ZoneAlarm, Comodo, etc) that blocks SABnzbd?

i do get this error at startup, when it try's to connect:
2008-05-22 11:46:57,453 WARNING IPV6 has priority on this system, potential Firefox issue

That's just a warning that Firefox may have problem with the web-interface of SABnzbd, due to it's poor IPV6 handling.
It's not related to downloading.

However, having IPV6 on XP is very unusual. Is there a reason you have it?

We do not test with IPV6 on XP, although there are no problems with Vista (which has IPv6 on by default).

Nor do I.
In a few weeks I'll have a new PC up where I can test various OS'es on VMWare.
But until that moment I have no means to test this particular situation.

I've got  an XP machine running in VMWare, so i decided to try and duplicate your problem.

One difference is its running XP Pro SP3.

I installed ipv6, turned on windows firewall (did not add any exceptions), and installed sabnzbd beta, set it up to run on port 7000.

everything worked fine, even tried connecting to your news server and i got an invalid account error, so it definitely made contact with your newsgroup server.

I tried a few other things, couldn't get the error to reproduce
