0.4.0RC3: "SSL" does not need explicit mentioning of port 563 ... cool!

Hi,

It looks like 0.4.0RC3 has an improvement which is not mentioned in the announcement: when selecting "SSL" you don't need to explicitly specify port 563. That's quite handy!

Oh, wait. My post seems incorrect ... you still have to fill out the port number ... :-(

As far as I know, there is no fixed port for SSL email. E.g. Google has two different ports, I always have to look up which one to use.

Sorry: I was talking about the NNTP SSL connection, in other words the NNTPS on 563.

For secure NNTP it's even more true, there is no standard port
Usenet providers offer all kinds of ports to avoid throttling by the ISP.
