TV episode downloads disappearing

Post by cable_guy »

Hi all,

I wonder if anyone can help me please.

When I download a Movie, despite sorting being turned off in Sab (I'm using linux) , it sorts it for me into my mounted USB drive. I can cope with that.

However, it seems to be sorting my TV downloads into somewhere I can't figure out. Is there anyway I can tell where it's putting them please? I've searched my filesystem which Sab is installed on, can't find a trace of the file, I've also searched the mounted USB drive where it puts the movies, no joy there either.

I hope someone can help point it out to me, I don't know where to look in the logs for this.

thanks in advance.

Click on a jobs entry in History, the popup should tell you where the download went.

I have done, and it shows me a directory and it's not there!

It happens only with TV Shows. I used to have Sickbeard sort my TV shows via a script but I turned that off in SAB. So annoying as I pay for block newsgroups so it wastes money each time!

If the operating system accepts files in non-existing locations
and refuses to send SABnzbd an error message, what can we do?
Have you tried copying some files to the USB stick using other means?

Sorry, the directory it points to does exist, but the file isn't in it. It's like SAB or some other force has "sorted" it. Once upon a time I used a Sickbeard script to move my TV downloads, but I turned that off in Sab now so on the category screen it just says Default Default TV TV, and on the sorting screen neither Series, generic or date sorting are checked.

Set logging to Debug level in Status.
Then download something and inspect the last part of the log file
and look for familiar pathnames.

Sussed it. Bit embarrassed about this but the downloads are all working but going into my downloads directory prefixed by "_UNKNOWN_" Do you know a way of fixing this so it's not prefixed with that please?

Thanks for all the help shypike I really appreciate it.

There's no _UNKNOWN_ text in all of SABnzbd.
Are you using the Sort functions?
