Append 'added' date to name

Post by djinn5150 »

Ok looking for any help I can find on this one, I am a new to scripting for sab but not so new to scripting, anyway basically like many ppl I have sickbeard automate my tv show collection. However there are some shows that sickbeard has issues with, mainly it boils down to a conflict between those who are posting the shows and thetvdb/sickbeard. To make a long story short the season episode numbers between the 2 are off. Dirty jobs and pawn stars are a couple. TheTvdb lists new episodes for pawn stars as S2E121, it will be released on usenet as s4e59. So then Sickbeard can't find it, if i use rss to download then sickbeard postprocessing fails. If I simply rename the file after its done to a name sicbeard likes then it processes, xbmc gets updated all is happy. Rather then manually sitting down and changing file names I think downloading via RSS, then before sending the file to sickbeard I would like sab to rename the file with the 'added' date either replacing the SxE numbering or appending to the end Usually the added date is the Aired Date of the show so, we then change sickbeard to an Aired-by date for that show everything should be good...

I hope that makes sense, I appologize for my rambling. I think this could be done in a batch file for windows but not sure about the variables.

Any help to point me in the right direction would be appreciated.
