Re: Paused

SABnzbd can detect that the job is encrypted and then do some action on it, you can set this at "Action when encrypted RAR is downloaded" in Config > Switches.
If you don't supply a password, we can't unpack the job, so it will fail.

Re: 2.3.6 beta1 won't launch on OS X Sierra

I think I fixed it, but at the cost of immense frustration (as reflected by my commit messages :P)
Could you all give this release a try?

Re: 2.3.6 beta1 won't launch on OS X Sierra

Cpuroast thanks for testing!
How strange that the original Beta build runs on your 10.11 VM but not on my VM.. Could indeed be an emulated hardware problem.
Now I'm not sure what to do.. Or what changed in the build system at TravisCI that caused all this.

Re: 2.3.6 beta1 won't launch on OS X Sierra

I spun up a 10.13 virtual machine and will now test myself.
Strange stuff..

Re: 2.3.6 beta1 won't launch on OS X Sierra

I identified 3 changes in the macOS specific Python packages. Could you try these 3 versions and see which one works? https://github.com/sabnzbd/sabbuild/releases/tag/2.3.6osxtest1 https://github.com/sabnzbd/sabbuild/releases/tag/2.3.6oxtest2 https://github.com/sabnzbd/sabbuild/releases/tag/2.3.6osx...

Re: Can SABNZB send start and stop messages to services on router?

You could use pre-queue and post processing scripts though to call the API of the router. It has an API right?
The post processing script should also check the sabnzbd api to see if there's any jobs still left in the queue. To not stop it prematurely.

Re: Free Space

Get a second drive ;) But indeed, your calculations seem right. You can do things to help: turn on the pause during post processing and also download only from top of the queue (in Config Switches, enable Advanced settings). This way you know for sure it's only handling 1 job at once. In Config Spec...

Re: Slow sabnzbd downloads

You are right: at some point the cpu can't keep up and we store new articles in memory, but when that runs out we have to put them to the disk. This is slow because we have to write, but also read them in again and then delete the file. This Christmas holiday I hope to create a solution for this, bu...
