series duplicate detection not working

    Check your connection in Status and Interface settings window.
    Use Test Server in Config > Servers.

    Enable +Debug logging in the Status and Interface settings window and share the relevant parts of the log here using [ code ] sections.

@diamaunt You should really try Sonarr, it can do much better than SAB in selecting the right episode and has so many more options :)

but it will put them in the same directory?

Hmmm, you're right. If they ended up in the same folder in the end then the show names must be identical.
I have set up some subscriptions to Rss feeds on my sabnzbd to see if I can reproduce it.
So far it detected every duplicate.

I'm stupid, I misread the times, they all came in within a few minutes of each other. probably all going into the queue at the same time.
