NZB Control is a simple status bar application to monitor and control your SABnzbd or NZBGet application. Ideally if you are running on a separate NAS or server device.
Features
• Monitor download speed, remaining time and queue size status
• View current items in queue (limited to 5 items)
• Pause and resume queue
• Delete and pause individual queue items
• Limit download speed
• Add NZB file(s) by URL link or uploading direct from your Mac.
• Added support for NZBGet
• Added file association to .NZB (notification message on successfull upload to SABnzbd/NZBGet)
• Reconnect bugfixes
• See current speed limit in "Limit Speed" menu
• You can customize output menu display in Preferences

nice little tool... I would like to propose a new functionality... what do you think about automatically open *.nzb files (double-click directly after download) with "NZB Control" and upload them directly to sabnzbd...
This would make some things easier ;-)
• Specify category, post processing, priority, script when uploading NZB & adding NZB from url
• Realtime update of queue information
• See the last warnings message and also clear warnings messages
• Hide menu bar display
• Delete & pause individual queue item
• Bugfixes & tweaked menu layout
• Added support for NZBGet
• Added file association to .NZB (notification message on successfull upload to SABnzbd/NZBGet)
• Reconnect bugfixes
• See current speed limit in "Limit Speed" menu
• You can customize output menu display in Preferences
Two questions though: 1) What is the 'path' option ?? 2) Why does NZBcontrol use such a lot of memory on my Mac (about 425 MB)
I share question 1) from this comment.
Would anyone be kind enough to provide a dummies guide to the set up fields? I'm okay with most I think but it would be great for me if someone covered all for my own sanity and it might help other newbies out there get the most out of this.
I have no doubt this will be really useful once I get it up and running.
A bit stumped in that I can connect to sab server with success but the menubar suggests that I haven't filled in server details properly.
The following fields have been left blank in preferences
The way I upload nzb-files to Sabnzb is to have an automator script (folder action) copy all the nzb-files from the local Downloads folder to the local Cloudstation folder. Cloudstation will automatically sync the file(s) to the NAS. I setup the Cloudstation folder on my NAS as watch folder for Sabnzb so, in this way, nzb-files are uploaded to SABnzbd automatically.
I think if NZB Control had an option for a "watch folder" my automator script wouldn't be necessary. Is there any chance you will implement something so NZB control will read out a watch-folder?
