download slows down to allmost 0kb/s

hi

i recently went from grabit to sabnzbd.
and i think its great that u can download with alot of server at the same time, so i put in all my servers i know.
and i get the maximum download speed only now there is a  problem.
when downloading all goes well untill i reach the last download file and then the download speed drops to 0.06-0.12 kb/s
for the last <0.5 mb.
only then it still takes like 4 hours to complete.
so howcome i get full download speed first and with last package and last mb i get such a crapy speed?
my friend also got this.
i tried shutting down and restarting but that doesnt work, after some time it just starts running again sometimes.
i am using google chrome with vista.
and i have to admit that my connection falls away also sometimes.
but my mate in sweden also got the same problem only he got it like after 2/3 min.
i am using sabnbd+ 0.4.8 but 0.4.7 has the same problem.

We're not familiar with this behaviour.
So far the only thing I can think of is that the queue gets stuck on
a job consisting mostly of articles that are no longer present on the Usenet server(s).
Do you get any warnings in the Connections page?
Isn't it just post-processing and repairing (check the History page) ?

The warning "requires user/password" should ring a bell.

Looks like you have a lot of free servers added to sabnzbd of questionable quality. I wouldn't really bank on these not to cause problems, especially if one of them fails to connect it can cause the queue to come to a halt.

I would recommend getting a usenet account with a premium provider like Giganews Astraweb or Newshosting.

I've seen this behaviour myself. Solution / workaround: restrict SAB to just one (reliable) server by setting the other servers' connection to '0', then restart SAB, and everything will be OK.

yep i found out that alot of servers make sab get stuck, if the servers are not working atleast.

There will be a solution for this in the next (0.5.0) release.
Unreliable servers can be tagged as "optional", meaning they will be
ignored for some time when not cooperating.
This will prevent these servers from holding up the queue.
