I don't have any synology devices. This is an unraid build.
It still seems to have a large amount of corrupt rar files though, sometimes it will fully download 3 or 4 versions of a movie before it can find one to pass it's checks. I will have to continue investigating.

Thanks for the quick reply. The 1GB test file seems to come through fine with "Completed" in history.

Resolved: Finally figured it out. I removed the "overclock" on the memory and everything started working without error. Even though it passed memory checks etc, I downclocked it from 3600mhz to whatever default DDR4 speeds are. 2100mhz ? I removed the XMP/DOCP profile in the bios, and havent had an issue since.
For running dockers and plex transcode etc, I don't think I'll see a noticeable speed difference in any of my tasks. Even sabnzbd doesn't use much of the cores for an unrar.

Thank you to Sander and others for the help. I'll make a donation as a thanks.

This solution was so helpful that I created an account specifically to share my experience. While I had come across this suggestion before, I initially dismissed it and tried numerous other troubleshooting methods first.

After disabling XMP/Boost profiles in my BIOS, my unpacking issues completely disappeared. What's interesting is that my test file (1GB) had unpacked normally even with XMP enabled, which made diagnosing the problem particularly confusing. If anyone else is experiencing similar unpacking or corrupt download issues, I strongly recommend trying this BIOS adjustment - it resolved everything for me. Many thanks!
