Every time I try and start sabnzbdplus I get "Firefox detected a potential security threat"

Post by jwhitt12 »

I am using Ubuntu 22.04. Every time I try and turn on sabnzbdplus 4.4..1 it tells me that there is a serious problem, ie "Firefox detected a potential security threat and did not continue to 127.0.0.1" I have no idea what is going on. I suspect that I need to know is howto completely remove sabnzbdplus and re-install it.

All this occurs when I try and turn on sabnzbd+ out of applications. On the other hand, when I just try and run the program sabnzbdplus 4.4.1 comes right up without a problem. I do not know what this means but I do know that I have to get the sabnzbd+ out of my applications and probably re-install. I need to know just how to do this. I suspect that the 4.4.1 is probably good and the the one in the applications is currently wrong.

I think I have fixed my problem. I removed my current firefox setup, shut down firefox and restarted it without sabnzbd+. I then started sabnzbd+ went to the firefox setup and added sabnzbd+ to my start, closed the firefox. Restarted firefox and, this time, sabnzb+ started and is fine. My solution was, basically, getting rid of sabnzbd+ from the startup applications and then put it back in (got rid of the old sabnzbd+ which wasn't changed when I updated sabnzbd+

I have also started reading all your documentation which may help me fix my other problems. Will see!!

Thoughts?
