Is it possible to get information about the RSS item that triggered the download available as an argument to the post process script, or even better would be the name of the NZB item.
This is one possible avenue I am investigating, the problem I am trying to overcome is the lack of standard episode naming convention for tv shows. I currently have a ton of shows I look for from the tvnzb.com rss feed. The NZBs seem to have a standard naming convention, and generally the folders seem to have a somewhat stand naming convention, but the underlying avi files do not. Season / episode number take different forms take for example season 4, episode 8 can be expressed as 408, 4X08, or s04e08, with still more variations on capitalization and leading zeroes. Then I have seen the delimiter between words in the show title and other elements be either spaces or periods, I have not yet seen but would not be surprised to see, underscores as delimiters.
My workflow is download the RSS feed hourly, use SABnzbd to automatically download the files and unrar them, get episode info from thetvdb.com, use elgato's Turbohd.264 to encode them for AppleTV, and then import them into iTunes (with the meta data). The process is largely automated, but there is a manual step because I cannot reliably parse the show name / season number / episode number from the downloaded file.
Thanks for any help or suggestions.

Re: RSS Information
Have you tried the built in SABnzbd TV sorting found under the options? That works 100% of the time for me.
