Post Processing

Post by gwheeldon »

Hi All,

Hope someone can help on this. For some reason the post processing stopped working and all my finished files were sitting in temp, PAR2 checks were fine and when i run WinRAR they unzipped fine. I changed some of the switches in setting and it seemed to run fine for 24 hours and stopped again.

I figured I would upgrade to 0.5 and assumed that would fix it but still nothing - any ideas?

Cheers
Gavin

If anyone can tell me a way of forcing the post processing that alone would be a great help, maybe if there was a script to run as I have about 50 completed downloads sat in temp and I don't want to do them all manually!

Not until release 0.6.0 will this be tackled and that's some time away.
By the time we get something up, we can contact you to run a test on your stuff.
It would be useful if you still had the NZB files available, that will make repair easier.

How did you ever get post-processing to fail 50 times?

It was just as they kept coming out of the queue they are/were just sitting in the temp file and nothing happening with them. I'll have to manually go through each one and process :-(

This happens to me on a Mac Mini but I know the cause. Sometimes on restarts my external hard drive does not mount correctly or sometimes I remove it for other reasons. SABNZBD is set to use the volume on the external for the jobs. If the hard drive is disconnected somehow while SABNZDB is working, the jobs won't finish, they will just all sit in the queue. If remount the hard drive and restart SABNZBD, all is good.

Could you have something like that happening? An external drive that is going to sleep?

Which folders do you have on the external drive?
If it's only the final destination, I'm surprised.
Normally SABnzbd doesn't really notice that the drive is gone and happily
writes to whatever equivalent the OS offers.
