Sorting TV & Movies on NAS Broken Since 0.5 Upgrade

Post by hankydysplasia »

Version: 0.5.2 Final
OS: Synology DS409+ accessed Via OSX
Install-type: NAS Package
Are you using IPV6? No
Is the issue reproducible? Yes

Since I upgraded to 0.5.0 and now 0.5.2 TV shows no longer sort to the correct directory on my NAS.  I have the same settings I had when it worked in 0.4.xx.

I have 2 questions.

First, how do I need to change the settings so that things are move to the Videos section despite the default download location being the Drop Box folder?
Second, do the categories and then TV sorting stack in that categories are applied first and then from within that category folder the TV sorting takes place?  I think this was the case if I remember right, but it's been a while since things have been going correctly.  Regardless, I have altered the settings and used Global locations in the TV Sorting section and that didn't work either.

Here are some screenshots of my settings.  Thanks.

I do not understand your first question.

In 0.5.2 the TV Sort requires categories to be selected (just like the other methods).
If more methods are activated for one category, the order of testing is TV, Movie, other.
The category determines the base folder for the sort method.

To clarify my first question...

My NAS has 1 volume.  Within it are several folders, and nothing can be in the root directory.  I want all random downloads to go to "/volume1/Drop Box", TV to go to /volume1/Video/TV/, and Movies to go to /volume1/Video/Movies.  Right now, everything goes into "/volume1/Drop Box", no matter what I do.  It correctly sorts TV shows so they go like this - "/volume1/Drop Box/Show Name/Season X/Show Name - Ep# - Episode.ext" but do not go into the folder specified.

Just set a full path for each category and set one for default.
You should not use a full path in the sort expression.
There's a bug in the implementation (will be fixed in 0.5.3).

That's what I thought I did.  I attached the screenshot earlier so you could see my settings.  Based on my category settings in the picture, what do I need to change?

Set a full path for each category, like you did for movies.
And set a default path in Config->Folders.

I have the default category selected which is why it says "Relative folders are based on /volume1/Drop Box" at the top.  I would like all the other categories to be within the Drop Box folder so I left them as they were.

I just tested it before I posted this post.  It still puts TV shows downloaded with NZB's from NZBMatrix in /volume1/Drop Box/Show Name/

Do your shows have a category?
They should, else they will use the default path.

Well... It was downloaded from #a.b.teevee within the TV category at NZBMatrix, just as I used to do at NewZBin.

So I guess I have to manually add that to the categories page?  Ooff.  I don't think I'm going to take this NewZBin thing very well.  Any chance in the future you're going to be able to detect categories from NZBMatrix downloads?
