can it be made so it only auto-refreshes when their are actually items in the queue rather than auto-refreshing even when the queue is empty but the web interface is open

I see your point, but if it didn't refresh when empty, how would it know when a new item had been added?

I don't know - but maybe when the .exe has a new item it can force a refresh of the web interface somehow?

With web interfaces, the Javascript must poll the server.
It cannot work any other way.
